About Lectures 

Your Humble Author 
These lectures are written by Jeff Fiducia, Lecturer for Francis Cardinal Spellman Council 6107, Knights of Columbus, in Colchester, CT USA.  As the lecturer, I have the task of offering some words to my Council at our monthly meetings; a task which I take seriously.  I limit myself to a single page, which reads out in about two to three minutes.  Granted, sometimes I shrink the font to fit on one page if there’s a lot to say.  Teach, Entertain, Challenge, Inspire. 

Where I’m Coming From 
The Knights of Columbus are a Catholic Men’s fraternal order, and as such these writings have a Catholic nature.  But God’s message is not just for Catholics, and not just for men.  I do my best to phrase the writings in terms that all can relate to.  Bible citations are taken from the New American 
Bible.  I don’t claim any formal training or teaching authority from the Church.

Usage 
I feel that the Holy Spirit often intends for us to act as messengers of His word, often to those far down the line.  Perhaps we don’t know them, or perhaps we know them but don’t know that they need to hear what God has to say in a particular case.  For this reason, I invite you to share these 
essays openly on your platforms, or specifically to anyone whom you think might be touched by them.  I don’t even need to be cited by name as author, as long as no one else makes that claim.  As I see it, the author is the Holy Spirit, and I’m just the messenger.  It’s not about me; it’s about the message. 

How Do I Decide What to Write? 
In short, I don’t.  I find that, whenever I sit down and contemplate what I want to say … nothing happens.  But an answer comes immediately when I refocus and ask, “Lord, what do you want to say 
to these people through me?”
